Cristina Mascanzoni Kaiser welcomes us to the luxurious world of Italian wines

Last September at the 6th UNWTO Wine Tourism Conference in Alba, Italy, we had the pleasure to meet wine and hospitality expert Cristina Mascanzoni Kaiser. As the founder of WineHo, a consultancy firm fully devoted to the best in wine hospitality experiences, Cristina has been instrumental in introducing us to some of the most extraordinary wineries in Italy.

Born and raised in a family of hoteliers from Lake Garda, Cristina has been operating in the world of hospitality most of her life. After law studies and first experiences in law sector in Italy, she decided to study marketing at Cornell University and began her career in hospitality at Bayerischer Hof in Munich, Germany and then among several 5 stars hotel in Europe including the Grand Hotel di Rimini and the San Clemente Palace in Venice. She’s also attended the Master Course Future of Food at Cordon Bleu where she graduated with Distinctions in 2020.

In 2016, Cristina launched WineHo, her consultancy firm focusing on food and wine hospitality and tourism. Her mission is to give Italian wineries the key cultural marketing knowledge they need to enable great customer experiences.

“I enjoy seeing wineries growing and becoming a great place to stay,” she says. “I enjoy seeing travelers from everywhere in the globe come and get the perfect tailored service they were not expecting.”

As a WSET certified sommelier and lecturer and professor in several Italian business schools, Cristina also educates the next generation of wine hospitality managers. And now she’s sharing her knowledge with us. Since January, Cristina has been interviewing wineries throughout Italy that specialize in sustainable and organic viticulture and production methods. Through her interviews with winegrowers and winemakers, our virtual travels have taken us to Sicily’s Casa Grazia, Toscana’s Villa Petriolo, the Vin de la Neu in the Trentino Dolomites, Venissa in Native Venice and finally to Maeli, nestled in the Euganean Hills of Padua. The stories she’s collecting showcase an industry steeped in history and committed to its craft and the land it stewards.

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be working with Cristina to bring these stories and more to the second edition of Healthy Vines, Pure Wines. Stay tuned for a sneak preview of what’s in store.
